I am generally interested in researching metabolism at the cellular or systemic level in contexts relevant to human health and disease. Disease states which interest me currently include obesity, type 2 diabetes, NAFLD, and atherosclerosis—in general, chronic diseases which stem from mismatches between those day-to-day conditions which dominated most of our evolutionary history and those conditions which predominate in the western world today.
